City of Johns Creek


Education

The public schools in Johns Creek are part of the Fulton County School System and are not funded by the city.
Johns Creek’s public schools consistently place among the top in the nation. Chattahoochee High School, River Trail Middle School, and Dolvin Elementary are National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence. Northview High School has three times won the Governor’s Cup for the state’s highest SAT scores. Johns Creek High School, opened in 2009, is a state-of-the-art educational facility. Education in Johns Creek are the top 5 in Georgia.
Police and Fire Protection
Police Department launched in 2008, the Johns Creek Police Department is a professional law enforcement organization that prides itself on delivering the highest level of quality service possible to the 70,000 residents and nearly 2,000 businesses in Georgia's 10th largest city. The Johns Creek Fire Department (JCFD) was launched October 7, 2008. Prior to that, life safety and fire protection services were provided by Fulton County for more than 30 years.
Water Supply
During the drought, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division tightly restricted or prohibited outdoor watering, with few exceptions.
In June 2009, Georgia returned to a non-drought schedule for outdoor water use. However, this non-drought schedule still includes outdoor watering restrictions.
Sewage and Sanitation
Water and sewer services are maintained by and provided to Johns Creek residents and businesses by Fulton County Water Services. Just call 911 if you see any gas leak, traffic light errors...etc
Transportation
GRTA provides coach transit service from/to Johns Creek and the Doraville MARTA train station, for further transfer to other areas of Metro-Atlanta including Atlanta/Hartsfield Airport. Transportation in Johns Creek is very convenient.
Social Services
Johns Creek has metro-Atlanta’s only symphony orchestra outside of Atlanta. The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor J. Wayne Baughman, performs several times a year.
The Johns Creek Arts Center offers classes and camps for aspiring artists in multiple media throughout the year.
Recreation and Cultural Activities
There are six golf facilities (five private, one public) in Johns Creek, including the renowned Atlanta Athletic Club, home of the 2011 PGA Championship and the 2014 U.S. Amateur Golf Championship.
Other golf facilities include: Country Club of the South, Rivermont Golf and Country Club, River Pines Golf, St. Ives, and The Standard Club.
Transportation is the best item to explain infrastructures. Transportation planning assesses the impact of growth and development on a community's transportation infrastructure through various plans and studies that provide and recommend solutions.
